Colin invited to the Interdisciplinary Research Opportunities for Undergraduates in Semiconductor Technology

The Interdisciplinary Research Opportunities for Undergraduates in Semiconductor Technology is a new program to bring undergraduate students from across the US to conduct research at the University of Michigan (UM) during Summer 2023. With Prof. Zetian Mi, Colin will be developing ferroelectric field effect transistors for next-generation computer memory. He will study the fabrication and characterization of novel nitride ferroelectric based electronic devices to achieve ultralow power, ultrahigh speed, and nanometer scale memory devices essentially required for next generation computing. In the last week, Colin will give short presentations on his research project. To help him prepare for this as well as a future research career, the program will offer a set of tutorials on giving scientific presentations, applying to graduate school and on scientific ethics.
